On November 12-13, 2020 the Second All-Russian Forum of Medical and Public Organizations "Together in Fight to Combat Cystic Fibrosis" was held online

On November 12-13, 2020, the Second All-Russian Forum of medical and public organizations "Together in Fight to Combat Cystic Fibrosis" was held online. The All-Russian Association for Cystic Fibrosis Patients organized Ostrov Charitable Foundation supported the Forum:  https://mukoviscidoz.org/ (President N.Y. Kashirskaya).

This is an event of a new format for cystic fibrosis nosology, which combined physician and patient sections, discussion platforms and round tables, master classes and symposiums. The objectives of the Forum were met; doctors, patients, their families, specialists of the pharmaceutical industry, members of charitable foundations and organizations, and government representatives had a constructive dialogue. More than 700 people attended the Forum. Among the lecturers were leading national and foreign experts in cystic fibrosis (the USA, Netherlands, Great Britain, Israel, Poland, France and Italy). Patients and their parents had an excellent opportunity to talk to them and get answers to their questions of concern.

Being members of Organizing Committee (N.Yu. Kashirskaya (Chair of the Organizing Committee), S.I. Kutsev, V.L. Izhevskaya, R.A. Zinchenko, E.I. Kondratyeva (members of the Organizing Committee) the employees of the FSBI Academician N.P. Bochkov Research Centre for Medical Genetics were directly involved in preparation and holding of the Second All-Russian Forum of Medical and Public Organizations.

The following experts made presentations at the Forum: 

• S.I. Kutsev, V.L. Izhevskaya - "Helping patients with orphan diseases in Russia - what's new?" – presented by S.I. Kutsev, Doctor of Medical Science, RAS Corresponding Member, Director of the FSBI Academician N.P. Bochkov Research Centre for Medical Genetics.
• Researchers of the Cystic Fibrosis Research and Clinical Department (headed by Prof. E.I. Kondratyeva).
• Professor E.I. Kondratyeva, Doctor of medical science, with four reports: “Cystic fibrosis and new coronavirus infection. National experience (in children)"; “Target drugs in children with cystic fibrosis in Russia. Own experience, prospects”; "Results of a multicenter study on the efficacy and safety of Tobramycin-Gobbi in cystic fibrosis"; "New in approaches to the treatment of cystic fibrosis patients."
• V.D. Sherman, Candidate of medical science, leading researcher, with two reports: "Complex clinical and epidemiological situations and ways of their solution during the pandemic in real clinical practice", "Rules of conduct at the outpatient reception and in the hospital. Hygiene of nebulizer, respiratory simulators, vibration vests, etc."
• V.S. Nikonova, Candidate of medical science, Senior Researcher, "Environmental Hygiene of a Child with Cystic Fibrosis".
• T.Y. Maksimycheva, Candidate of medical sciences, researcher, "Vitamins and microelements. Advantages and disadvantages of multivitamin complexes", in co-authorship with E.K. Zhekaite, Candidate of medical science.
• Researcher of the Genetic Epidemiology Laboratory (Prof. R.A. Zinchenko, Head of the Laboratory)
