The winners of the gold medal "FOR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF MEDICAL GENETICS" for the year 2019
The gold medal "FOR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF MEDICAL GENETICS", established by the decision of the Academic Council of the Research Centre for Medical Genetics, is awarded to the outstanding domestic and foreign scientists-genetics.
In 2019, by the decision of the Academic Council a gold medal was  awarded to:

 

Director of Biochemistry and Genetics Institute of the Ufa Scientific Center of RAS, Professor Khusnutdinova Elza Kamilyevna (Russia) for her studies in population genetics using a variety of genetic markers, as well as for training researchers in human population genetics;

   

Professor Thomas Lier, Institute of Human Genetics, Friedrich Schiller University, Jena (Germany) for his research on karyotype evolution, chromosomal heteromorphism, small supernumerary marker chromosomes, interphase nucleus architecture;

Professor Milan Macek, Director of the Department of Biology and Medical Genetics at Charles University of Prague, Czech Republic, for his research on genetic bases of cystic fibrosis and other monogenic diseases;

Medals and diplomas were presented at the ceremonial meeting of the International Scientific Congress "Genetics of the 21st Century".
