The fourth international conference "SPLICING 2021" is over

The fourth international conference dedicated to splicing research is over. The conference is traditionally held in Caparica, Portugal. It gathers leading scientific teams studying splicing mechanisms both in health in various organisms and in disease in humans.

This year the conference was held online. The RCMG Functional Genomics Laboratory presented their work:

  • Alexandra Filatova spoke about her experience in creation of minigene systems for analysis of splicing variants identified in patients with hereditary diseases (Alexandra Filatova. Experience in creation of minigene systems for analysis of splicing variants. 4th International Caparica Conference in SPLICING 2021. 26th - 29th July 2021, Caparica, Portugal).
  • Mikhail Skoblov made a presentation on the study of a new mechanism of pathogenicity of inherited diseases caused by splicing abnormalities in the first untranslated exon. (M. Skoblov. New mechanism of pathogenicity of inherited diseases caused by splicing abnormalities in the first untranslated exon. 4th International Caparica Conference in SPLICING 2021. 26th – 29th July 2021, Caparica, Portugal.)
