Professor Elena Kondratieva, Head of the Scientific and Clinical Department of Cystic Fibrosis, took part in the international conference "Scientific and practical aspects of the development of pediatrics and neonatology

Head of the Scientific and Clinical Department of Cystic Fibrosis of the Research Centre for Medical Genetics, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Elena Kondratieva took part in the international conference "Scientific and practical aspects of the development of pediatrics and neonatology", held on June 10-11, 2022 in Almaty (Kazakhstan).

Professor Elena Kondratieva made two presentations on neonatal screening and diagnosis of hereditary lung diseases. The conference was organized by the National Educational Institution "Kazakh-Russian Medical University".

During the conference, a meeting was held with the rector of the National Educational Institution "Kazakh-Russian Medical University", Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Nurlan Dzhainakbaev. An agreement was signed on joint scientific and educational activities between the National Educational Institution "Kazakh-Russian Medical University" and the Research Centre for Medical Genetics.

During the conference, a meeting was held between Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Elena Kondratyeva and pulmonologists of Kazakhstan. The meeting was headed by the chief freelance pediatric pulmonologist of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tatyana Marshalkina (Scientific Center for Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery of Almaty).

Previously, children's pulmonologists in Kazakhstan were trained in an online course organized by the Research Centre for Medical Genetics on cystic fibrosis. In the future, trainings at the clinical base of the Cystic Fibrosis department of the RCMG are planned to be organized for pulmonologists of Kazakhstan.
