On December 2, a Conference of young scientists of the Academician N.P. Bochkov Research Centre for Medical Genetics was held.

The online videoconference of young scientists took place. Researchers from nine laboratories of the Centre made presentations: the Mutagenesis Laboratory, the DNA-Diagnostics Laboratory, the Functional Genomics Laboratory, the Genome Editing Laboratory, the Hereditary Metabolic Diseases Laboratory, the Genetic Epidemiology Laboratory, the Cytogenetics Laboratory, the Genetics of Complex Inherited Diseases Laboratory, and Cystic Fibrosis Research and Counseling Department.

The members of the FSBI RCMG Academic Council attended the Conference, as well as traditionally invited were the following independent experts:

Alexey Sergeevich Tsukanov, Doctor of med. sci., leading researcher of the Laboratory Genetics Unit at the FSBI A.N. Ryzhikh Research Centre for Coloproctology under Ministry of Health of Russia.

Viktoria Yurievna Voinova, Doctor of med. sci., Head of the Department of General and Medical Genetics, MBF, Deputy Director of Translational Medicine at the Y.E. Veltishchev Research Institute of Pediatrics, Chief Researcher at the Clinical Genetics Department at the Y.E. Veltishchev Research Institute of Pediatrics.

Natalya Vladimirovna Shcherbakova, Head of the Molecular and Biochemical Diagnostics Laboratory, Researcher of the Clinical Genetics Unit of the V.E. Veldtishchev Research Institute of Pediatrics.

The presentations aroused great interest, many questions, and a lively discussion.
