The Employees of Scientific Clinical Department for Cystic Fibrosis at RCMG Took Part in the Round Table Devoted to the Medical Assistance to CF Patients in Volgograd Oblast

The round table «Medical assistance to cystic fibrosis patients in Volgograd Oblast» was held on the basis of Volgograd Regional Clinical Hospital for Children (VRCHC) on the initiative of the public council under the guidance of Volgograd territorial authority of the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare of Russia on August 5, 2022.

The participation of RCMG employees in this meeting was carried out within the framework of the agreement on joint activity with the charity fund «Ostrova» and with its support.

The event was attended by dedicated chief specialists and doctors of Volgograd Oblast. The event was broadcast online for specialists of health centres, central district and city hospitals of Volgograd Oblast. The meeting was attended by: Elena Kondratyeva, professor, Holder of an Advanced Doctorate in Medical Sciences, doctor of the highest qualification category, Head of the scientific clinical department for cystic fibrosis at RCMG, Head of the department of respiratory system diseases genetics of the Institute of Higher and Supplementary Professional Education at RCMG, and Elena Zhekayte, PhD, senior researcher of the scientific clinical department for cystic fibrosis at RCMG, assistant of the department of respiratory system diseases genetics of the Institute of Higher and Supplementary  Professional Education at RCMG.

Face-to-face consultations of patients were organized on the basis of VRCHC in teamwork with Vera Tsoma, chief external pulmonologist of Volgograd Oblast, Sergey Akelyev, Head of pulmonology department at VRCHC. Specialists in cystic fibrosis gave recommendations for examination and treatment after examination, introduction into the case history.
