RCMG Staff Participated in II Eurasian Congress of Urologists
On March 16-18, 2023, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan (Ufa) hosted II Eurasian Congress of urologists, which was attended by doctors and scientists from more than 20 countries - Russia, CIS countries, Middle East countries as well as Turkey, China, Austria, Spain and other countries.
During the congress, sections and round tables were held on various modern aspects of urology: diagnostics and treatment of urological diseases, new technologies of surgery in urology, innovative approaches in diagnostics and treatment of cancer-related diseases.
The congress was attended by specialists of the Research Centre for Medical Genetics:
- Dmitry Mikhailenko, PhD, head of the department of onco-genetics of IHSPE, associate professor, gave a report on the diagnostics of hereditary onco-urological syndromes and work of RCMG in this direction
- Vladimir Strelnikov, Holder of an Advanced Doctorate in Biological Sciences, head of epigenetics laboratory, associate professor, gave a report on genetic disorders in kidney angiomyolipomas and a programme for the diagnostics of tuberous sclerosis
- Vyacheslav Chernykh, Holder of an Advanced Doctorate in Medical Sciences, head of the laboratory of reproduction disorders genetics, gave a report on genetic diagnostics of infertility in men, incl. using highly productive sequencing (NGS)
The reports of RCMG staff, as well as specialists and doctors of various specialties, presented at the congress, served as a basis for the exchange of experience and development of interaction between the international medical community, representatives of the professional environment, as well as general public and business quarters.
