The first advanced training session for physicians was held in the Institute of Higher and Further Vocational Education FSBI RCMG

From May 22 to May 29 the first session of advanced training for physicians on the theme "Cystic Fibrosis Diagnosis and Therapy" at the Department of Respiratory Diseases Genetics at the Institute of Higher and Further Vocational Education of FSBI Academician N.P. Bochkov Research Centre for Medical Genetics was held. S.I. Kutsev, RAS corresponding member, and Professor Elena Ivanovna Kondratieva, Head of the department, started the session. The training course has accreditation of Continuing Medical Education program. The training used various distance learning technologies and e-learning. Doctors of different specialties: geneticists, pediatricians, general practitioners, pulmonologists, and gastroenterologists from different regions of Russia: Khabarovsk region, Murmansk region, Chechen Republic, Republic of Dagestan, Bryansk and Vladimir regions, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Altai Krai and others, as well as from the Republic of Belarus attended the session. The duration of the training course was 36 hours (6 hours per day).

During the training course, the following lectures were presented on various cystic fibrosis issues: genetics, microbiology, clinical pharmacology, and dietetics. Clinical cases of cystic fibrosis patients formed a significant part of the teaching process. Associate professors of the Department of Respiratory Diseases Genetics - Sherman Victoria Davidovna, Dyakova Svetlana Evaldovna, Amelina Elena Lvovna and cycle supervisor candidate of medical sciences Zhekaite E.K. concluded the course. At the end of training, the doctors were issued the state standard certificates for advanced training.
