The 15th Russian National Ophthalmic Forum Was Summed up (RNOF - 2022)

Scientific practical conference with international participation «The 15th Russian National Ophthalmological Forum» was held in Moscow from September 28-30, 2022.

Within the scientific programme of the conference the issues of diagnostics and therapy of inflammatory, infectious and allergic diseases of eyes were considered, as well as ophthalmo-genetics, innovations in the treatment of glaucoma, fundamental problems of retinal pathology and retinal epithelium, ophthalmo-oncology, ophthalmo-traumatology, ametropia, modern methods of correction, modern aspects in neuro-ophthalmology of premature retinopathy, progressive myopia, amblyopia and squint, as well as modern technologies of surgical treatment of eye pathology.

Sergey Kutsev, Director of the Research Centre for Medical Genetics, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, within the section «Ophthalmology and genetics - essential elements of successful management of patients with hereditary dystrophies of the retina of gene replacement therapy» gave the report «Prospects of development of genetic screening in Russia».

Vitaly Kadyshev, Leading researcher of the laboratory of genetic epidemiology at RCMG, Head of the Department of Ophthalmo-genetics of the Institute of Higher and Supplementary Professional Education at RCMG, Head of the Scientific and Clinical Center of Ophthalmo-genetics at RCMG, gave an oral report on «Ophthalmo-genetics - solution in interdisciplinary management of patients with hereditary retinal dystrophy».
