The Ophthalmogenetics Department of the Institute of Higher and Supplementary Professional Education at the Research Centre for Medical Genetics (IHSPE at RCMG) invites doctors to undergo accredited distance online training courses on the following topic: «Hereditary Ophthalmopathology in Clinical Practice». 

Lead of the cycle – Vitaly Kadyshev, Head of the Department of Ophthalmogenetics of the IHSPE, Head of the clinical center of eye diseases genetics, Senior researcher of the Genetic Epidemiology Laboratory, Curator of Ophthalmogenetics in the Russian Federation, MD (geneticist, ophthalmologist of the highest qualification of RCMG), PhD, professor of RANH. 

The staff of lecturers is extensive and includes experts of various specialties (ophthalmology, genetics), PhD and Holders of an advanced doctorate in Medical Sciences, Honored Worker of Science. 

About the cycle 

Form of education – online distance-learning sessions. The training will be conducted in the form of webinars using the ZOOM platform in synchronous mode. It will be possible to ask questions to lecturers, participate in discussions, talk about clinical cases in real time. The listener’s computer should be connected to the camera, microphone and loudspeakers. High-speed Internet connection is required. 

Training dates: March 28, 2022 - April 04, 2022. 

The duration of the training is thirty six hours (six days, six hours a day). 

The programme was approved on the portal of continuing medical and pharmaceutical education of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation. 

The programme is intended for ophthalmologists, geneticists, paediatricians, general practitioners as well as doctors of other specialties. 

The course examines pathological conditions, symptoms, syndromes of hereditary ophthalmopathology, their classification. The complex diagnostic algorithm of verification of visual organ’s hereditary pathology, indications for molecular-genetic research in ophthalmology, interpretation of the obtained results, modern methods of treatment and principles of rehabilitation for patients with hereditary ophthalmopathology have to be made out.

The cost of training for citizens of the Russian Federation is twenty thousand rubles, for foreign citizens is twenty four thousand rubles. A certificate of professional development of the state standard is issued upon completion of the training, which is taken into account when forming the personal profile of specialists with medical education.
