Evgeny Ginter, Scientific Director of RCMG, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Became a Knight of the Order of Alexander Nevsky

Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, signed the Decree 81 "On Awarding State Awards of the Russian Federation" on February 11, 2023.

The staff of the Research Centre for Medical Genetics cordially congratulates Evgeny Ginter, the Knight of the Order of Alexander Nevsky, scientific leader of RCMG, academician of RAS, for services in scientific activity and many years of conscientious work.

Evgeny Ginter began his research career in 1957, entering the Kuban Medical Institute.

Since 1962, after graduating from Institute, he continued his research activities, studying at the postgraduate study and working in the laboratory of radiation genetics of the Institute of Medical Radiology of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR.

For more than 50 years the fate of Evgeny Ginter is closely connected with medical genetics: from the senior researcher of the Institute of Medical Genetics of the USSR AMS to the director of the Research Centre for Medical genetics.

Evgeny Ginter, the academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, has over 350 articles in Russian and foreign scientific journals, a textbook on medical genetics, more than 30 PhD theses and more than 15 doctoral theses, known to every student of any Medical University.

We sincerely congratulate Evgeny Konstantinovich Ginter on the awarding of such a high state award!

The Order of Alexander Nevsky is notable for being the only award that existed in the award systems of the Russian Empire, the USSR, the Russian Federation. In 2025, the 300th anniversary of the Order of Alexander Nevsky will be celebrated.
