The International Ophthalmological Congress Deutsche Ophthalmologische Gesellschaft – 2022 (DOG-2022)

The International Ophthalmological Congress of the German Ophthalmological Society «DOG-2022» was held in Germany (Berlin) from September 20 till October 2, 2022.  This is the first full-time DOG Congress since the beginning of the pandemic.

Deutsche Ophthalmologische Gesellschaft is a professional ophthalmologist community in Germany. It brings together more than 8,000 physicians and scientists involved in research, examination and treatment of patients with ophthalmological diseases.

The congress was attended by more than 3000 thousand medical experts from Europe and the USA. The total number of delegates of the congress was 4457 people.

Vitaly Kadyshev, leading researcher of the genetic epidemiology laboratory at RCMG, Head of the department of ophthalmo-genetics of the Institute of Higher and Supplementary Professional Education at RCMG, Head of the scientific and clinical centre for ophthalmo-genetics at RCMG, within the poster section gave an oral report on the topic: «Diagnostics and Gene Therapy of Patients with Inherited Retinal Diseases (IRD)».

Vitaly Kadyshev’s scientific report was chosen as one of the best out of the presented ones by participants from the Middle East and Eastern Europe. The presented material stimulated considerably his foreign colleagues.
